Scwd bracket

Hello everybody, started to set up the scwd on the frag tank today and came up with this bracket. I think it's gonna work well, the only problem I see with it so far is I can't take the scwd out of the brkt. for cleaning. It doesn't really matter if I can't take it out though because the brkt is small enough to soak it together. When I make the brkt. for the 180 I will make the holes sloted so I can remove only the scwd. I'll post more picks of the whole system as it comes together, right now I'm on my way back to the hardware store for more plumbing parts. The pis of the brkt. are on the front of the tank so you can see the brkt. It will be on the back of the tank when the whole system is done.

Cool, good design! If/when I hook up a sump to my system, I'll have to make something like that, because I'm going to use a SCWD.

Nice idea. You may want to put some rubber or something around the rings that hold the scwd in place because it will vibrate. The bracket will help also but it will be vibrating against the tank.

Thanks guys.

John,
thanks for the tip, this is my first scwd so I didn't know they vibrate. I'm going to put the output tubes tight against the brkt. that should help and I have some gasket material left over from another project I'll use that to also stop the vibration.

TDEVIL,
I'll get you some measurements soon, I would like to fire it up and see if it's going to work first. I let ya know as soon as I'm happy with the brkt.

Troy,
I might need some help with that cadcam program you sent me so I can give you guys a nice drawing with good measurements.

Don

Yes, Scooterman that is a pvc eductor, I kinda took the ideas that I saw as posts and tweaked it my way. I'll have pictures of the new eductor I built last night up soon. It's for 1" pipe but you could use any size that fits your application.

Don,
Ask away, I have gotten fairly good with the program, so I will help out anyway I can.

Scooterman, it would be an excellent beginner project it was simple to build and can be configured to fit anyway you want. I have it in a horizontal position because the feed line is coming from upstairs and it just flows natural that way. The brkt I make for the 180 will hang more on the back of the tank because the feed will come from the bottom.
