i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Re: Phytoplankton Culturing...

billyr98, how dense are your cultures getting? You can get a density stick that will give you a fairly accurate reading from Florida Aqua Culture Farms. Also if there are spacific animals that you are attempting to feed you may want to get a long feeder tube so you can direct your culture water rather than just feeding the tank.... I used my phyto to feed my clams and I used it to grow rotifers...

Just sharing what I learned...

Re: Phytoplankton Culturing...

I got the density stick from FAFs. I ordered the starter kit... I also use the Kent Squirter, I love that thing

Re: Phytoplankton Culturing...

when culturing, do you have to light the culture 24/7?
