Acid oceans spell doom for coral

so if the ocean dips down to 7.4, does this mean also that our aquarium buddies wild-caught will be even harder to acclimate to our tanks? thanks for the info btw...

The fish if properly acclimated should be fine it's the corals that will have a problem because of the reduction in the availability of carbonate ions in the water for them to make their hard parts.

ooohhhhh.... man that sucks.... so now its up to us to save the world from reef extinction.

If NASA can send men and women (and monkeys) to the moon, then why cant we make a buffer for the ocean? tell mother nature to use reef crystals.... LOL
