Duncan coral

Hi,
I was wondering if someone cuts off a Duncan head, will another one grow in it's place? I got a Duncan frag today, with two heads, and three healed places, that look like they are trying to make new heads! Just wondering!

Goldenmean may be able to answer this soon as he has a 2.5 headed Duncan which may be doing the same thing.

I did just get a Duncan frag this past weekend and it has 2 heads and there is a place where it looks like a third head or a branch was at that had been cut. The area that looked mostly like dead skeleton had a few tentacles on one part (1/4) of the edge. Looking at it now after just 4 days I can see where there are more tentacles. Probably 2/3 of the area now has some tentacles so I think I will soon have 3 full heads. Having done some research they are a pretty hardy coral and can grow new head relatively quickly.
