Thanks for the great information.

Hey did I miss the answer to the which kind/brand of glue thay you use?

Rob & Brian, thanks for the "professional" advice and coaching. I have had success fragging polyps by placing the rock in close proximity and then after they colonize the rock, I cut them loose so to speak and it has worked well for me.

Is this a viable option for Zoanthids?

Thanks again.

so sorry about the glue Craig, I just get the gel-type anytype but has to be GEL is more solid, at least I like to use that better , and also I try to when fragging zoanthids avoid as much to cut their tissue, if possible try to cut them with a bit of the rock were they are attached...

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Just a side note on the nudis, when I had a problem with them I noticed they would take on the coloration of the tentacles of the zos they were preying on. Greenish on green zos, orange on orange, etc. Makes them tough to spot...until you see one, then you'll see more than you want to.

Best way to look for these buggers in my opinion is, if you've got a patch of zos closed up during the day period, look for a closed-up zo with what looks to be one or two tentacles sticking out of it. Hit that zo with some suction and see what comes out.

I followed logical's advice and did a feshwater dip, followed by a dip of Lugol's mixed with some flatworm exit (2drops/gallon). That wiped out most, I saw a couple more and treated the whole tank with another 2 drops/gal of flatworm exit and (knock wood) haven't seen any since.

IMO these things are far more damaging than box snails. I'm surprised the SPS guys haven't started hitting us up for these yet.

Thanks Rob, as far as introducing new things to the tank, a lugol's dip with a couple drops of flatworm exit before introduction will go along way in preventing fungus and nudis.
