| The Wand Geek was here. ;) ![]() | Re: whats the best stuff to feed your corals? Depends on the type of coral and its polyp size. I feed my zoas thawed cyclopeeze and liquified homemade mush.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: whats the best stuff to feed your corals? Frozen cyclopeze and zooplankton are what get the best results here. I rotate through a variety so hard to tell what gets the best growth, but those 2 get the best reaction from the corals.

| Tunicate | Re: whats the best stuff to feed your corals? I mix my own coral/fish food. The base is red, brown, green algae, cyclopeeze, marine snow, high quality flake food, freeze dried blood worms and freeze dried brine shrimp, garlic and a host of other natural ingredients. I make a monster batch which lasts at least a year and the coral/fish absolutely LOVE the stuff. From fresh to frozen to a year later corals and fish are totally happy. When I get the camera fixed I will show how happy they get |

| Reef Lobster | Re: whats the best stuff to feed your corals? I use frozen cyclopeeze for almost all my corals. I feed my lps and sun corals frozen mysis shrimp, some of my zoas will eat the shrimp as well. I just bought some Selcon today, so I'll be soaking the shrimp in this, I'm not sure if I'll see any improvement, but I'll let you know. bill |

| Ricordea | Re: whats the best stuff to feed your corals? I freeze mine in ice cube trays and then after they are all good and frozen I take all the cube and put them into freezer bags that I can use an air sucker thing and make them all air tight and then put them all back into the freezer. |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: whats the best stuff to feed your corals? I freeze it flat and thin in ziplock bags and once frozen solid break it up with a hammer and store in ziplocks. I don't have enough room or enough tiny ice trays to make regular cubes. One time hubby cut the flat block with a knife into portion size pieces after it was frozen. That worked pretty well. Another good idea I have heard is to use the squares of egg crate to make the cube shapes.
