| Tunicate | Types of tank to grow corals In order to propagate frags i would like to have large tank to grow frags. what types of containers can i use. I thought i could use a large plastic or fiberglass preformed pond. Would these work? Any other suggestions? |

| They misunderestimated me ![]() | Re: Types of tank to grow corals Those would work. Also if you are handy enough you can build your own with plywood and epoxy.

| Torch coral | Re: Types of tank to grow corals the plywood/epoxy route is a good one, but to be cost effective, making a big tank (>75 gallons) is ideal...i have made a bunch and the advantage is they are easy to customize...need a hole, just drill it and install bulkhead... i have also used rubbermaid troughs from local agways...the 50 gallon are better as they are more shallow.. i think the shallow tanks work best, as you don't need as much light to penetrate
