Purple Deaths and Neuclear greens

Just went to my LFS and they had these two frags in. They didn't know what they had I would assume because I got away with 3 heads of purple death for $20 and The nuclear greens They must have known because they set me back $40 Here are some pictures. Let me know what you think :-)

Re: Purple Deaths and Neuclear greens

Thank you. I cant wait till I get my new fixture. IT will amke everyhting look so much better.

Im looking at the Tek Light 6X54 and I will aim for an overall K rating between 14k and 20k. I really miss my Montiporas.

Re: Purple Deaths and Neuclear greens

My purple deaths LOVE bright light. The color is much richer when they are closer to the lights than on the bottom of the tank.

I'm only using T5 though. Maybe they don't like high PAR levels of MH?

Re: Purple Deaths and Neuclear greens

my purple death are also under a t5 6 at 54 watt tek fixture, and they are not the coolest thing in my tank. i am not seeing y people try to charge so darn much for em. mine are at the bottom of the tank though, and i am thinking that more light may be helpful to them.
