This could be good or very bad.

I am taking a huge risk and I know it but I have done everything I know to increase my possibilities of success and have been debating and waiting for a very long time.

Here is Sunshine.

Here is hopefully Sunshine's new friend or at least roommate.

Risky I know but I just have to try it. Not even really thinking about a pair though that would be incredible. If they can tolerate each other I will be thrilled.
I believe Sunshine is a girl and I think the new one is a boy. Who really knows but I did look carefully and tried to judge jaw size before buying. The new guy eats mysis like crazy and had another blue share an appartment for a few days until the LFS noticed.
Sunshine has never even been to the right half of the tank so my hope is either they will get along fine or at least each take half of the tank.
I don't know who is more scared me or the fish being acclimated.
I'll keep everyone posted but hopefully I will have nothing to report for a few days until I am convinced the worst of the danger has passed.

Re: This could be good or very bad.

New guy is still acclimating or at least hanging out in tank water. I am going to put him in the tank right after lights out and put him on the right side of the tank where Sunshine never goes. I gave Sunshine a new batch of rubble to keep her busy and a pile of rubble on the other side fot the new guy. He is gorgeous though.

Re: This could be good or very bad.

Leave it to you to get me in trouble. We are just plain dangerous together.
Well I couldn't take it anymore so we put the new guy in the tank.
We put him on the opposite side from Sunshine (of course) and he went straight to the back corner. Within about 2 minutes he was spitting sand and digging a hole. So far he has ignored my rubble but he is surrounded by the walls of the tank and some of the rocks so hopefully he feels secure.
All of the other fish swam by to see what was going on but Sunshine never left her side of the tank. Se was out and looking around but never saw the new fish. Lights are out now and I am trying to stay away from the tank. Frank did take a couple of quick pics before we turned out the lights so here they are.

I'm staying away from the tank for now but will do a quick flashlight check before bed.
