I found 2 BSJF at my LFS!

I've been looking forward to getting a BSJF for some time now. Last time I tried to buy one it swam into an anemone and was killed when the LFS employee was trying to net him. I've been searching for one ever since and finally found these two guys at the LFS today.
Here's the big problem, both of them have some "film" of something on parts of their bodies. It looks like a mild case of some sort of translucent white fungus or something. It's mostly on their heads, I'm not sure if it was on their bodies. The fish both seem active and appear to act healthy. What could it be? I left the LFS at closing time and plan to check back on them tomorrow after work tomorrow.
They are $75 each by the way. They have good coloration and I asked the employee to feed them and they both ate flake food. That's at least a good sign.
Other than the white stuff on them I just had one other question about behavior. The two were in separate little cube divided sections of one of those LFS cubicle tanks right next to each other. One is a bit bigger and seems a little less dominant, and the other smaller one is a bit darker in color and was coming out more and opening his mouth really wide and showing it to the other one. For those of you that are used to their behaviors, does one sound better than the other behaviorally?
Thanks!

From what Ive picked up about these guys they come to the plate on strike two, if your set on them pay a small deposit and tell them youll be back when cured, no clue on behavior

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Re: I found 2 BSJF at my LFS!

I'm not sure I get the baseball analogy but if they're still there tomorrow I think putting down a deposit would be a good idea. The guy at the LFS didn't seem to keen on holding one for me though. He just suggested that they sell pretty slow so I should just check back in a day or two.

Wow. I've never seen them get them in there.
I do like the new expanded frag tanks.

Yeah, the frag tanks are pretty nice. I like the creative wave maker they set up coming off the back of that new display tank. I've actually seen them get some pretty decent and somewhat rare fish in from time to time.

Re: I found 2 BSJF at my LFS!

That's a hard call. From what you described I would not get either. As for behavior, both sound stressed by the other. Since neither are healthy to start with, the stress is likely to make that worse.

You want to start healthy and unstressed.

That's not what I wanted to hear You're right though, I'll have to just be patient. I'll go back today and see if they look any better but I'll have to be sure to control myself.
Thanks for the input.

Re: I found 2 BSJF at my LFS!

I agree with BlueSpotJawfish, this fish can be challenging enough without starting with a sick BSJF. Here are a few links were they are selling them:
Gift Certificates | Salt Water Fish Gift Certificate | Salt Water Fish Aquarium Gift Certificate - Reef Hot Spot

You might have to correct me,but I think that Scott(Dentoid) got his from reefhotspot. Keep us updated!!

Re: I found 2 BSJF at my LFS!

Hey reefer333, thanks for the links.

I guess today was really my lucky day. I went back to the LFS to check on the little guys and see if they looked any better. They didn't look any better but still looked pretty active. I decided to keep waiting and check on them later. I then went to another LFS and to my amazement they had 3 BSJF! They were all really healthy looking and the guy even agreed to match the $75 price of the other store. Needless to say, I picked out the best looking one and he now resides in my 90gal tank.
I've got the tank covered with egg crate and will add gutter guard first thing in the morning to keep him where he belongs.
I'll post a pic of the new addition when he decides it's safe to come out.
Thanks for the good advice everyone, it really pays to be patient.
