Bluespot Question

Just would like to know is a 20 gallon long to small to have 1 of these?

I would say yes. In the wild they have extensive territories. There is somebody keeping one successfully in a 29. I do feel that they do better with more room.

Major bummer!! After reading all your threads Id love to have one are the pearly jawfish as interesting as the blues? If so I think they are managable in a 20 according to online stores anyhow.

The pearly's have a very different personality. Less bold. My daughter has a 29 and she has a yellow watchman and a shrimp goby. We never see them because they are in their rock/sand caves except when they come out to eat. It would be nice to have some fish in there that you could actually watch. Since the bioload on the small tanks fill up quickly, I would recommend a fish that hangs out in the middle of the tank, one that isn't shy.
