| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: Scotty's Spotty Good point about the light Scott. They do have large eyes and if they come from so far down there could be light sensitivity issues.

| Over Achiever | Re: Scotty's Spotty Spotty is loving the new Solaris. He keeps coming out for short strolls around the tank. The lighting is not as harsh as the MHs and he seems to be more comfortable. It may be a coincident, but he never did this before the new lighting. ![]() |

| Over Achiever | Re: Scotty's Spotty Thanks Lorriane, what else would a godmother say about her godbluespot! ![]() Here is a picture I just took. Spotty has moved to the left, front of the tank, under the GSPs. He's just hanging out watching everybody swim around. He is itching to join the fun. He's a bit imtimidated by the bigger fish though. ![]() |

| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: Scotty's Spotty Have you reduced your tank temp at all? It does sound like a possible factor in Bluespot stress.

| Over Achiever | Re: Scotty's Spotty I keep my tank at 77. My BSs behavior is the same as when the tank was at 80. Perhaps a 3 degree difference is not enough to see a difference. We have no reports of anyone keeping their tank temperature any lower. It would be nice to study the effects of temperature on this species, but it would be cost inhibitive for the average hobbyist. |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Scotty's Spotty Yes it is but I have been forced to wait on that one. Just don't have the time right now to do it right and that is the only way I am going to do it. I need to re-work the plumbing and make room in the garage before I can put anything live in that tank other than the snails that are there. I am being very particular about inhabitants since I don't want to have to try and catch something later when the ponies and bluespot are in.
