Your Toby is quite a pretty cat...love the eyes! We used to have cats until we found out my daughter was allergic.

Re: Scotty's Spotty

Dang, lot's has happened here today! Spotty looks terrific as always. I had to do a double take, I thought you had two BSJF's for a moment. They look like best buds!

Re: Scotty's Spotty

Thanks Jen! He is my best bud!

Greg, they just started hanging out. When Spotty moved to another location the Watchman moved into Spotty's old digs. I was wondering if the Pistol shrimp drove Spotty out. 3 days later, Spotty was back.

Congrats Scott!
It goes against ALL the fish books.
They are both the same shape AND the same color.
Kudos

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Scotty's Spotty

Glad to see them getting along. I have both in my 90 but I don't think they even realize the other is there.
I know you must have answed this before, but what are you feeding Spotty? Do you spot feed him or does he just eat with the tank?

Re: Scotty's Spotty

Thanks Victor!

Lynn, I feed a mix of frozen mysis and Plankton (look like mysis, but bigger) to the whole tank once per day. Every few days I will have a feeding session with Spotty where I turn all the pumps off and drop pieces of shrimp, scallop, squid or clams from the top, they slowly float down and he comes up to get them. I used to do this with the moon lights when the other fish were slumbering, but recently, I have been doing it with all the lights a blare. Sure the other fish get some, but Spotty knows the drill and is ready to get the food. It's one of my most favorite times to spend with my fish!

Re: Scotty's Spotty

Does the BSJF ever pick a spot in the back of the tank? or just somewhere out of the view?

Lorraine is right, better camera and better understanding of how to use it. I feed Spotty, Mysis and Plankton once daily with the rest of the tank and spot feed with scallops, krill, clams and squid every couple of days

Varga, they generally go where they feel the most comfortable. In fact they will move around from site to site. From my experience, they like to be where they can see everything, that includes what's outside the tank.

Re: Scotty's Spotty

Spotty update. Recently I've had him modeling for greeting card covers.
What do you think?
