| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club The silly things we do! Well, guess we will have to enjoy some more photos then. Sorry they are dark, I didn't want to disturb them. Everyone was having a party in the 50 today. I'm so glad I got to watch it. Got lucky and was taking pics while the Male Pyle Wrasse was showing off his stuff! Some more friends stopping in to welcome Mr. 50 Well, he can't just sit around and party all day, he has work to do. Well now, that's much better!

| Over Achiever | Re: The Bluespot Club Well Mermaid, in the ocean their burrows are about 5-6 feet apart. Unless you can get a male/female pair I wouldn't recommend more than one per 4 foot tank or up to 120 gallons. Personally, I haven't had any problems keeping my BS with aggressive feeding fishes. They just can't be kept with aggressive fish that will pick on them. My BS is almost always out of her burrow and eats with my Sailfin, Foxface, and Blue Hippo tang without any problems. The idea of a species tank for beeding is a great idea. I would think that you could get away with a 40G if you have a mated pair. Have you seen this link? http://www.nano-reef.com/fish/?fish=10 |

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club This morning I got a good look at Mrs. QT and noticed that it looks like her tail was cut off (though I doubt that is the case) and the fins in her back section are mostly gone. I added some MeleFix, don't know if I should do anything else. No wonder she isn't happy!

| Tubeworm | Re: The Bluespot Club Thanks Dentoid, unfortunately I always have to be different and I have a digger who is on steroids and a powder blue thinks he owns the world. He would not REALLY inflict harm but a gentle BS would not know that. I had not read that link and I do not think I can find anything better. I am starting to dream-----sadly my dreams always are too big for me to chew. Any more links to breeding behavior would be appreciated. Great news that BS is eating. Mermaid |

| Manta Ray | Re: The Bluespot Club My PBT is the same way, He thinks that he owns ME. At first my BSJF was a little timid. But this quickly changed. Now Jose (a.k.a. the King) is the dominant fish. Not even my PBT will touch him when food hits the water.

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club Mr. 50 owns the 50 already! Mermaid - Did you find the website for the tank raised yellow jawfish from the place that Woody got her's from? There was some good detail on how they feed/raise them . Woody - If you stop by can you help us find the link? I've tried and failed. Michael - How come all your tanks aren't converted to BS tanks yet? Dentoid - I don't know what is wrong with my baby's fins! BTW, looks like Mr. 50's fins are pretty much the same way...???...
