Well this morning, I looked into the tank and saw what he had done. He has built his main entrance right underneath my Merulina coral ledge. Then he has another entrance on the otherside of a rock. THEN he has another entrance towards the back of the tank. He is starting to come out alittle more. When I walk into the rock he comes out about a 1/4 of the way to see whats going on. But he is still a little skittish. He seems to be doing very well. When i fed the tank this morning he wanted to come out,but he still is not 100% comfortable. He came out a little bit but my PBT scared him. I think that he will do fine once fully adjusted. I think the way I set up the one end of the tank made his acclimation a little smoother.

Well, I fed him again, he ate like a lil Champ. He is not very scared of me at all. I had to clean the tank today. He came out of his burrow and looked at me for a while. He is really curious, and watches everything that goes on. He has really made a nice burrow. Ill try to get more pics up later.

I think that I might have jinxed my Bluespot. Since Tuesday, it doesn't seem that he is eating the mysis. It has been almost a month since I have had him in the tank, and he has always eaten with no issues. For the past few days, he pops his head out of his cave (front and back of the cave), but he will not eat any of the mysis. Any mysis that comes toward him or inside his cave, he blows it back out. I looked at him closesly, and I don't see any signs on his body that looks concerning to me. None of the other fish are stressing him (as far as I can tell), and the rest of the crew is eating really well. Any thoughts as to why he is rejecting the mysis?

Have you tried feeding something else? Clam, shrimp, squid pieces.

Maybe you could try putting some garlic in his food. I have had some fish that were very stressed when I got them. They could barley even swim, but when I put garlic in the food, It was as though they could not resist. I always put garlic and selcon in all my fishs' food. Both of these items really stimulate feeding.
I have had many fish that will go a few days without eating, and then start right back up again. But I have not had my BSJF long enough to say anything bout him.

Nervoustime... in addition to the above recommended changes in food type and additives... I would say CYCLOPEEZE as well. It's like fish crack LOL (I wish I came up with the analogy... I think it was actually Warnberg). Brine seems to be very appealing to fish, but will not be enough to sustain them. But may entice the little fella to eat. I would say try to mix some of the garlic, selecon, and cyclopeeze in with your food (brine, mysis, etc.) I do this with every feeding anyway... Good luck.

I have been adding Selcon every other day to the mysis. As far as garlic, I routinely add Kent's Garlic Juice to their food. Every 3 days or so, I add Liquid Life BioPlankton and MarinePlankton. I just find it strange that after 4 weeks, he is rejecting the mysis.

I would just caution not to try and feed too much because you can pollute the den. I think that is what I did when mine didn't want to eat. This caused him to move.

Well I have a few more pics of my new baby. But I left my laptop at work, so I cant upload any pics. But he is really starting to show off. I walked in today to find him lounging on my brain coral. I also saw him Moving some really bigs rocks. I did not realize that he would be able to move something that large. I have already made up my mind, this is by-far my favorite fish. SOOO much personality. He is still a little shy though. Im leaving tommorow morning to go fly fishing in the mountains.HELLO TROUT!!! So I guess I will have to leave everybody hangin on the pics. Sorry.
Thank goodness my dad will take care of him for me while Im gone. My dad wants me to get a small tank, just for a BSJF and some Ric. Shrooms. I guess that is one of my next two projects.

Also just wanted to thank everyone here for all the advice, and help. And for getting me to meet my nnew favorite fish.

The little guy is not doing that great. For a fish that was always exploring and sticking his head out of the cave, he is struggling. I don't think that I can do much of anything to help him get through this. Hopefully, he will find a way to pull through it. Will keep you guys posted.

I don't know if I'm the nervous mommy, or the daddy in the waiting room who can't do anything about it! I didn't get my shipping information yet, so I'm not sure my baby will be delivered today.
