Re: The Bluespot Club

Witt - I think that underneath the black and white is yellow and blue just trying to come out.

Dentoid - So exciting!!!

Ok, now for the rest of the story. When I bought the twin Bluespots, the cashier accidently didn't charge me for one of them (yes I bought enough stuff that I didn't notice the $90 difference). Anyway, they called me about it and we agreed that I would pay them the next time I was in (which has been about every other day). So, today I went in and said I wanted to pay for my dead fish. It seemed very strange to me to hand over $90 for a dead fish. but they do not have a saltwater guarantee and I know that. It must have seemed odd to them too, because they ended up not charging me for him. They have really taken very good care of me on all my rebuilding. I am so happy!

So is Bluespot - check out his new digs!

Blue, you did the right thing. You will be repaid 100 times over by the universe. Your integrity will be most remembered by the employees and owner of your LFS. The money is material, how you feel inside for this great deed is paramount! I'm happy to share in the Blue Spot Club with you.

Re: The Bluespot Club

So when is the new baby expected to arrive? Do you have the nursery ready? Got shells? Escape prevention plan? Love? Attention?

Update - BS #1 still very cute today!

Re: The Bluespot Club

Don't know when my BS is to arrive. The lfs store is ordering one and will call me when it arrives. I have installed egg crate on my tank since my Midas Blenny jumped out. Is that enough? There are many empty shells and small coral pieces laying around the tank bottom. Of course the love and nuturing is just waiting for his/her arrival!

Re: The Bluespot Club

I have never used egg crate, so you will have to be the test pilot. Watch him when you add him, if he is jumping a lot and you aren't sure the crate is enough, Lynn came up with the idea of window screening over the top of the egg crate for a while if needed.

Re: The Bluespot Club

Another idea if you need it might be to add another layer of egg crate, on a diagonal, or offset from the other one to make the holes smaller. You may be fine as is though.

Re: The Bluespot Club

Scott has come up with the idea of having a Bluespot awareness day. We are looking for ideas and input on this.

Scott is working on research (everything I know is already posted), so send him some info if you find it and he will sort through it...(right Scott?)

One of the first things we need to figure out is if this should be a day, week, or month? Sometime in May has been suggested since they should be more available by then. That seems so far away.

Next, we need to decide how to present this cool fish...

So, THINK BLUE and post!

I've also decided to post our members - I will try and keep this updated on the first page. If you aren't on this list and want to be, send me a PM!

Bluespotjawfish and Dentoid

Re: The Bluespot Club

Called my LFS today. They have not been able to get one. They say because of the weather. They are to try again on Monday. I also tried to order one from LiveAquaria.com but they insisted it be shipped within 48 hours of being paid for and I would not be available to receive the fish (my day off is Friday). Even with it paid for they wouldn't hold it and ship it to arrive on Friday March 2. I wrote them a nasty e-mail. I'll keep trying! Thinking Blue!
