Re: The Bluespot Club

I just added another handful of rubble two days ago and Dotty has used every piece of it. Her abode is becoming abodelicious!

I think I'll go to the LFS for some rubble. What size do you guys use?

Re: The Bluespot Club

I tried to pick out pieces that were big enough for Dotty to fit in her mouth or slightly bigger. It was a mixture of broken coral, rock and empty shells. You'd be surprised at how big a piece they can move.

Re: The Bluespot Club

Mine always liked clam shells. Easy to move, makes a great wall.

Re: The Bluespot Club

My guy seems to be doing very well. He eats well and is doing well with the other fish. I am going to try to take some more pictures tomorrow, and I will post them as soon as I can. I have to bring the camera from work. Besides mysis, what other foods have you guys fed your Bluespot?

Re: The Bluespot Club

Mysis is fine. I'd stick with what is working, but mine liked any meaty type food.

Re: The Bluespot Club

Mine eats homemade mush as a mainstay but I also feed other frozen foods; formula one, formula two, mysis, and enriched live brine.

Re: The Bluespot Club

It seems that every LFS I have visited in the last few weeks has at least one Bluespot Jawfish. The prices range from as low as $65 to as high as $120. In the previous 6 months, I can say that I might have seen two or three Bluespot (combined in every LFS in my area).

Re: The Bluespot Club

This is the time of year that they are becoming more common.

Re: The Bluespot Club

I am using a turkey baster to get the mysis to the little guy. Because of his current location, it is much easier to get the food to him. It seems that every time I put the turkey baster into the tank, he recognizes that it is feeding time. He comes right to it. I think that he feels comfortable and safe. In any way, I hope that's how he feels!!!
