Re: The Bluespot Club

My mom said that I only had to pay for $50 of i and she would pay for the rest because it is my half b-day today and BSJF are one of her fav fishes along with mandarins. So, I have my clear screen and I will pick up a bag of LS and get the new tank ready for this guy.

I would make sure you rinse out the LS or else you will have a clouded mess. I also may have missed out on some of the discussion but is your tank up and running already?

Re: The Bluespot Club

I think Mr. BJ was flashing today. He was sooo white, and then in a second normal color again. At first it scared me until I realized what it probably was. Not sure who in the tank looked cute, but he seems totally fine since then so I really do think that is what he was doing.

You aren't supossed to rinse out LS because then you kill all the bacteria. I have 2 established tanks and 1 that I put in mature LR from a very mature tank which seeded it with pods and bacteria. I put in a cube of mysis and a silverside to produce some ammonia and I will test this thurs.

I am not going to have him shipped until early next week.

Frank in now 7 months in tank and still as fiesty and comical as ever.

He spends a lot of the time just looking at his reflection "boy am I pretty"

Re: The Bluespot Club

Sunshine has discovered her reflection as well. I think she likes the company. She is not eating as much though. It is like she is letting the reflection have half of her dinner.
Once again I am thinking about getting her a friend. I am more and more convinced she is a she. I do get nervous though when hubby talks about the one killing the other at the LFS but they were in a small acclimation container not a 90g tank.

Lorraine....... The blue spots on BJ look like neon! Like they would glow in the dark! Has there been any more Houdini disappearing acts? So far my Digger has been behaving himself!
