| Ricordea | Re: The Bluespot Club Thanks! Right behind those micromussas in the last pic is another large hole. And Digger will pop up between the first hole and the one behind him. Sort of reminds me of that game the kids played? Whack-A-Mole? |

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club Basser - Digger should be an interior designer, he has great decorating skills! Lovely corals (and Digger is awesome too)! Lynn - I'd be too scared to do too much. Can you just add some sand in areas where Sunshine isn't at (direct it where you want it with PVC tubing). It will eventually even out. Remember don't add too much at once or you could smother the bacteria in the existing bed.

The problem with that is that I HATE the aquasccpe. I think today I am going to remove all of the rocks and place them on towels. I am also goind to scoop up as much of Sunshine's building material as possible so I can give it back once done. The only fish I have to worry about is Sunshine, my mandarin, and my firefish. Then carefully and gently put the rocks back one at a time. If I do it slowly it should give Sunshine plenty of time to move away. I will probably wait until at least mid week for the sand addition so I am making the changes kind of slowly. The only problem I have with that is that I will be covering his newly made tunnels. Well it needs to be done and waiting is just going to make it more difficult so I believe I am going to try it today while Frank is here to help.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club Well that plan as well as any other plans are on hold. The stand just separated and almost collapsed. I have another thread on that but thankfully sunshine still has a home for now.

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club Lynn, fortunately you found the stand problem before you started your aquascaping job. The entire tank could have collapsed. This makes me think my stand problem was whimpy. Sorry for your troubles.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club Well looking on the bright side, I will get to re-scape when we take the tank down for the stand replacement. I guess sunshine will have to spend a short amount of time in a temporary residence. I also found a second use for the jump proof top. There was actually glass on the screen that would have gone into the tank had the top not been there.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I don't know if 5 months is a "milestone" or not, but so far so good with Digger. I'm encouraged that more folks are getting them and seem to have better success latlely. Michael, the dendro colony to the left of Digger started out as 1 polyp!. I bought it on-line and it was listed as a Giant Dendro. It stayed that way for the longest time, and then suddenly it started sprouting new polyps. And now it has over 11 polyps on it! | |
