| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club Nope. This was a different blue at a different store. This one went right for pellets as soon as they hit the water. One of the reasons I love this LFS is that they were smart enough to have them in separate containers with sand for them to hide in.

| Tubeworm | Re: The Bluespot Club My 2nd blue spot is fearless, completely unlike my first. It is always out and about and a very aggressive feeder. We are entering the period of time where I had problems with the first one and I am feeling very anxious. I am having trouble doing water changes lately due to a bum knee, hopefully I get back to myself soon...the tank might get 1 water change over the next 3 weeks. Congrats to those on new additions. |

| Ricordea | Re: The Bluespot Club That's great Cory! How long did you have your other blue spot when you started to have problems? I'm going on 3 months now with Polky, and he's still doing great! Somehow I feel this latest group of Blue Spots are going to do well! Perhaps collecting methods have gotten better? |

| Midas Blenny | Re: The Bluespot Club Hi all, Larry is still needing Bluespot help. Things are worse. I tried to take a pic but my daughter has "borrowed" my card from my camera, so no way to transfer the pic to the computer. So, I will describe: As I said, the first thing I noticed was that Larry was not himself...just hiding low in his burrow, breathing heavily, but coming out to eat a bit. Yesterday, I thought I saw an odd spot on his lower lip...like a bump. This morning...well, it looks horrible. His bottom lip is torn, clean through, down about 1/8 of an inch or so...with the bottom of the tear (the part that really looks like "chin") being quite dark. He IS still eating his New Life Spectrum pellets, but not as enthusiastically as usual. He's not eating other things that he normally gobble s up like a piggy. And, he's still moving shells around. After he picks some of them up, his lower lip will be misplaced/offset, with one half higher than the other and just flapping around in there. I really cannot believe he's eating or picking up rubble and shells. What do you think the best thing I can do for him is? There are three peppermint shrimp (who give me the creeps anyway) just hanging right outside his burrow like they are waiting to gobble him up. ![]()

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: The Bluespot Club Jen, do you have a QT tank you can move him to? I'd set up something to get him away from everyone, get him some privacy and some vitamins to help him heal. Sounds like someone is beating him up to me. I deinitely don't like the sound of those pepermints. |

| Midas Blenny | Re: The Bluespot Club Well...you can advise me here on the QT... I have a 20 gallon QT set up and running, but it has two clownfish in it, a black and white and an orange and white Ocellaris. They have been in for one week, are eating fairly well, but don't "race" to the food, show no signs of illness and are pairing up beautifully. In the main tank my Royal Gramma is showing signs of Ich. It's not terrible, but I see some white spots on the tail and fins, and a couple on his face. He's been in the tank for at least a month, so I don't know where this came from. There are no signs of it on anyone else. So, do I move the clowns into the main tank, and risk the Ich? I was told by the LFS to put an anemone in there and it would keep the clowns from geting Ich. But, I thought my tank might be a bit young for that, and am worried about my Koralia powerheads. I don't think I should put the Bluespot in the QT with the clowns, should I? Should I try to catch and remove the peppermints? They've been in a couple of months, I'd say and I have no aiptasia issue at all now (had a few when they went in). So many confusing questions and contradictions! I'm so grateful for everyone's help and ideas. ![]()

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: The Bluespot Club So sorry you are having trouble with your blue. I hope he gets better soon. Meanwhile mine is looking better and better. He eats pellets, flakes, and any frozen food I have tried. He loves mysis the best of all. He is still trying to find a happy home. Every time we want to look at him we have to fine his newest burrow first. I put a bunch of crushed coral where I wanted him to stay but of course he is ignoring that and just making tunnels under the rock. We haven't officially named him yet since I want to have him a while first but I think sparkles may be it since his spots sparkle so much. Meanwhile Frank took some great pics of him yesterday and of course they are at home. I promise updated pics this weekend.

| Beautiful Katamari | Re: The Bluespot Club Jen you could get a divider (you could use egg crate) for the QT that way the clowns and the BS could both be in QT. I think your 20g qt would be big enough for that. Good Luck Blue Spot!
