He's coming out more.

I've seen him perching on the side of my large clam... but he goes to his burrow when I get the camera out.

Re: The Bluespot Club

He will eventually get to where you wish he would hide. I cant take a picture of anything in the tank, without Jose being dead center. it is kinda cute, he thinks he is a little model>

Awesome Blue Spot

Re: The Bluespot Club

Scott, the pic is very cute! After a while your BSJF will become a camera hog.

H2O, good luck with your new addition when you get it (and the lights too).

Thanks.
I've had him about a week and a half now.
He's a healthy eater.

Re: The Bluespot Club

Well, I have noticed a wierd behavior with Jose.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .....................................He loves Nori.
Yep....on monday he went crazy when I trued to put some in the tank for my tang. He ripped a 4X4 sheet out of my hand and drug it into his burrow. It wouldnt fit. it was so cute, seeing this big sheet of seaweed tryin to fit inside. I took it from him and clamped it down. Then he started biting chunks off and eating them. I though maybe this was a fluke and he would never do it again. Well this morning he did it again. As I type this he is eating big chunks of noori.

I had no idea Jawfish would eat this stuff!?!?!

Re: The Bluespot Club

lol! Just when you think you know everything about him, you discover another cuteness! Mine will eat nori like any other food, but I don't put 4 X 4 sheets in there for them.

Re: The Bluespot Club

That is unusual. I have seen Spotty grab a piece that floated by but then spit it out. Jose thinks he's a tang!

Re: The Bluespot Club

This behaviour is simply a sign of imitation (mimicry).

He may well benefit from the added vitamins or he'll get really bad gas!

Re: The Bluespot Club

Probably the more first Scott. Like most fish in the sea is also the BSJF more Omnivor qua Carnivor. As long as the nutrients will be descended from the sea them also accordingly from the metabolism uses.
