Re: The Bluespot Club

Awe, may I have another!
It's great to see that many together. It just amazes me how differently they all look in the face. Is that not personality!

Re: The Bluespot Club

If I knew that They would not fight, I would add another to my 240 when it gets setup. They do have the most personality.

Re: The Bluespot Club

Michael, I think you could have 2 in a 240, no problems. Heck, that is probably big enough for 3!

Re: The Bluespot Club

I would rather spend a lottle more and get mine from LiveAquaria.com They have an amazing quarentine process, and will not sell fish that are not healthy.

Re: The Bluespot Club

I agree their quarantine process is top notch. Still pricey though. Good luck with your upgrade Michael!

Re: The Bluespot Club

Yeah, Michael, I do think 2 BSJF in a 240 would be fine. Who knows, maybe they'll pair up and you'll have babies! Since they are bottom dwelling fish, they won't cause any harm to your SPS.

Re: The Bluespot Club

I am soo excited. I want this tank to have a turbulent reef crest, and a calm lagoon inner area. I think that the Blue spots would really enjoy it. How do you tell male from female. I think it has something to do with the head but I am not sure.
I wish my tank would be here tommorow.

Re: The Bluespot Club

The only thing that I have ever read that helps to distinguish male from female, is that the males have small black spots on their face. I don't know if that means mature males, breeding males or what. I have seen pictures of some BS with small black spots on their face though. It may be trial and error. Perhaps you can find the information somewhere. I've exhasted my literature research.

Re: The Bluespot Club

I have read that during the "breeding season" the males will get white sides.
