FujiFilm FinePix1400zoom Nothing fancy but an all around good camera. Is the best for this hobby I'm sure it's not.
I took these with it.

Thanks Imperial! They are my first corals. All my pictures were taken in macro mode. I'm pretty sure that's about the closest I can get. The macro focal distance is 0.3 ft - 2.6 ft, but you can get a wide angle lens which will take it down to about 0.225 ft.

I have the finepix 1300 (1.3 mp) it is 3 years old, my parents bought it for me when I bought my PC. Its ok, but its old. It does do ok macros when I use a tripod and timer. I'm looking at buying another fuji too.

90g AGA, 18g tall sump, CSS 220 w/ meshmod impeller, 4x54w Tek T5 retro w/ IC reflectors, Kalk reactor w/ aquamedic niveaumat system, a few SPS, LPS, zoos, and a few softies, 2 Ocellaris Clowns (hosted by both a RBTA and GBTA), Yellow Watchman, Potter's angel, Yellow Tang, Foxface, Midas Blenny, Purple Pseudo, huge brittle star, 2 tigertail cukes, fire shrimp, snails, and unfortunately two emerald crabs (the bubble algae got out of control).

Here is the link to where i got it, now, you dont have to spend that much and if the cam you have is ok but you are just haveing troubles getting that close up shot, try using a magnifing glass, and see if that helps a bit

yah, that is the reason that i bought from them

i say read Travis's thread (from my other post) and then you can buy the cam that you really want, not one to get you by until you can get the one you want, remember this will cost you more in the long run
this is the reason i bought that cam, i didnt want to spend a few hundred on a cam just to go out and buy another cam next year, which is what i do with most everything else
so i hope this cam will last me for a while (it has to, wife said so)
