What Macro Lens?

Alright..

So in the next couple of weeks im going to be picking up a Canon Digital Rebel camera.. I was going to go with the XT but i just can not get by how small it feels.. i have big hands and i just HATE the Grip on it..

So what im looking to see he is what Macro lens do everyone use??

I was at the local store and seen two.. Keep in mind i know nothing about SLR.. lol,

A Sigma 105mm ?? Macro
a CANON EF-S 60MM 2.8 MACRO USM LENS

Any ideas what i should be looking for?

You won't go wrong with the sigma 105 macro, canon ef100 f/2.8 macro (the one I use) or the Tamron 90mm macro.

I don't think 60mm will quite give you what you're looking for. There have been some good things said about the vivitar 100mm macro as a cheap solution as well. Either way, you'll want to get a set of kenko extension tubes to really get the big-time macro stuff.

I'm not sure if bhphotovideo.com or adorama.com ship to canada but it's worth a shot.

BTW I was in Toronto on Sunday/Monday, whirlwind business tour but the Guinness stew at the Duke of Argyle Pub was to die for.

I have a Tamron 90mm macro that I bought 1 1/2 ago. I am interested in selling, want to upgrade to a 100 mm canon or the 180 mm canon.
If interested call me 905 208 0804 I am in Burlington.
I am using it on a Canon 10D would work great on the Rebel.
