March Photo Contest~

Ok fellow reefers it's photo contest time!! The prize will be bragging rights and the winning photo featured on the home page for one month!

Please review the entry regulations below and GOOD LUCK!!

Rules:
1) One photo per contestant,
2) Photo subject matter must be an LPS coral,
3) Photos that have previously won any other contest are not allowed,
4) Photos must be uploaded to this forum by midnight (EST) February 28th: http://www.reefsanctuary.com/photopo...ry.php/cat/526 ,
5) A voting poll for all submitted photos will be available March 1st and will remain open until midnight (EST) March 7th. The winner will be announced on March 8th.
6) Sorry, no moderators nor admins allowed to play in this game.

Am I stupid or what? I can't see where to post them, if i hit upload and browse the catagories there is one that says september photo contest but no march.

When I click on the link in WoodStock's post, I am taken to the galler for the March Photo contest and there is a link to upload photos.

Thats what I did but then it says dont post to this gallery and you have to choose a gallery in which to post and its not there that I can see.

Yes, I see what you mean. It is not in the drop down menu, but it is in the gallery index, it's most likely a permissions thing, they have not been set to allow reg users to upload photos.

Actually, I have no corals in my tank, I think limiting the subject is fair, it's restricting it to me owning it that sucks, LOL.

you can post pictures you take from other aquariums also.

If you don't have any LPS, don't worry, we will have more photo contests after this one is done

My tank is pretty much sps only as it stands now.

Jim, when you click on the link the menu should already be at March photo contest, then just put the path to your file in the other box and it should upload to the proper gallery.
That's what happens when I check the link anyways...

You are admins, you have permission to post in any catagory, create a test username with no gallery admin privelages, and try to upload a photo to that gallery, you cannot do it, I just tried, there is no option for the march contest in the menu, it defaults to the member gallery (Please do not post pics here) I did (what can I say, I'm lawless) and sure enough, it's not in the march contest gallery.
