i couldnt resist, i even thought id have to call the tang police on myself...but he is so pretty and the colors similar to my scopas. he is a Acanthurus chronixis, one of the mimic tangs. i knew i wouldnt have issues with the scopas due to diff genus, but went to google to find out about him. well the best i could find was that it s a mimic of C. Vrolikii. not even a picture,,,the showed the Vroliki angel and said,,,looks similar to this,,,lol. 3 diif folks i talked to couldnt place him and so i figured i got a deal.

now,,,do i cuff myself?

It looks like Acanthurus pyroferus to me. A. pyroferus also mimics C vrolikii.

I imagine this is where you found some of your info anyway...

Hey Wit, thats one neat fish. Thats not the Atlantic Blue tang, right? WHat do they call it? Beautiful fish - good luck with it. Maybe itll still be alive when the tang police let you out on parole.

Gorgeous fish Wit.....Also a nice alternative to the not necessarily reef safe C. vroliki. I've always liked those though.
