Maxx, I can't remember, but i did a google search for 'aquascaping reef' and the link was on the 2nd or 3rd page.

Hey semi, good to see you!
Hi, nivek!
Min, I'm glad this is helping!

Here's a nice site that shows how to build a framework for aquascaping;
http://www.krob.com/aquarium/Aquascaping.htm

and, can't remember if we already posted Marko Hagga's tank?

Random thoughts by various people on aquascaping;

Open space also makes the tank appear more realistic. RICHARD HARKER
---------------------------------
the aquarium is split up into zones; namely, foreground, middle and background.
structures are separated into five categories, 1 [low/front], 2 [medium/middle] and 3 [tall/ background]. The other two categories are [4] colour contrast and [5] texture contrast.
Maximum impact is achieved when corals are placed in "massed beds" or allot of one species grouped together contrasted by another group next door.
Contrast is good. There is never too much contrast.
There are vertical rocks and horizontal rocks and naturally concaved rocks and naturally convexed rocks.

types of aquascaping do you like? islands, dropoff, caves, and overhangs
--------------------------------
As a general rule, I try to divide the tank into three or four sections that are separated by open sandy areas. Each of these areas is then designed around a central piece of rock. I try to include caves and shelves in all these areas to maximize a variety of possible sites for organisms. One thing I have noticed is that too many aquarists create their reef structures with the face running parallel to the front glass. This gives a rather flat, unappealing look. Try to angle some of your rockwork for a perception of added depth and texture. RANDY DONOWITZ

Just registered, so I thought I would throw my tank pic out. I used lots of Tonga branch in my aquascaping.

JB!!! Thanks for stopping by man!!!
Your tank looks awesome!!! Could you post the two shots of your tank from the "Money Shots" thread over at RC, here too? I really liked the end perspectives of you tank!
BTW,
For those of you who don't know already, JBNY is the gentleman spending ALOT of his own time testing 250 w Single Ended Metal Halide Bulbs on RC. I posted a link to that here if nobody had a chance to see it. Great info there!!!

TG, thanks for the link to the aquascaping diagrams!!!
Nick
