Good DOF, no blown-out highlights, foreground focus, background blur, noise looks good (from what I can tell)… all the things we become hyper-critical of in our pursuit of excellent photographs. All the things that make a difference between a pretty snapshot and something you’d want to hang on your wall. Or someone else might want to hang on theirs.

I take it by that you mean the new euroreef I just bought

I think I'll stay away from any DSLR's just to ensure I keep all my important body parts.

and fwiw, I like the picture of the fox coral the best. No technical reasons why, I look at it and think, "oooo, purdy"

(not to take away from the other shots)
