| Pistol Shrimp | So One Eye, did we happen to cross paths? Mike, that is a "Devil's Hand", which is a Lobophytum or Lobophylia (I get those mixed up). The buds are exactly how that coral is propagated, as it doesn't require pruning or hacking. Mine is dropping two buds currently after 18 months in my reefs, and I'm happy to finally share them with others in our club. The cool thing is that this coral is the 4th generation from the original owner in our club, and his has also taken up space in many sections of his tank. Definitely a good coral for a beginner with a decent set up. |

| Pistol Shrimp | Travis, the baby will drop in the next day or so, and another one isn't far behind. I'm sure it'll do fine in this tank or your new upgrade. Did you see my latest photo submission in the contest? I knew the moment I shot it that I nailed it. That shot is only resized, but if you think Photoshop can make it better, I've got the original. Unfortunately, since it was my trip it wasn't the larger file size because I didn't want to run out of space on my CF card. |

| Plate Coral ![]() | Marc, I'm glad that you're enjoying the devil's hand. My wife wants me to get rid of mine, since it's all over the place now...
