Well i am still really new at this i have Pacific Coral Sand saltsize and florida crushed coral mixed. gives it a nice look. and makes it easy for critters to sift through and all.. its about 3-3.5" thick on the bottom.my engineer goby loves it.. about 80-100 lbs of rock fiji and tonga rock with some small base rock and 2 big pieces of lace rock.. diy overflow box/filter and return pump. bought the tank and accessories of some at a good price.. the water i just right from the ocean. i alos have a 55g drum with extra water for the changes.. i hope this helps. the other tank with corals and all is a 33g setup with t5 ho with about 2-3" substrate and again using ocean water.. not too much i can say about that tank |
