| Midas Blenny | Hi there. I sell digital cameras, used to do the Cybershots as well, but I'm afraid I'm just a Canon man now. I won't comment about the Cybershots specifically, except that they make a good every day camera, family and pet snaps, that kind of thing. For awesome close up shots like these guys pull, something in the SLR as opposed to the compact variety is what you want, as the lenses are interchangable and you can get specific macro lenses. Unfortunately SLRs are fairly expensive. BUT, if your camera has enough manual adjustments, and you know what you're doing you should be able to get some very nice shots indeed. I just thought I'd look at the link, and that's probably the most dubious use of the phrase SLR that I've ever seen. But it's got a high resolution which can help you out a lot; when it doesn't look very big on your viewfinder, when you download it at full res it's a damn sight bigger. For the money I think it should do alright. Maybe someone who owns one can comment. Oh, and remember everybody, the amount of mega pixels doesn't matter (kind of)! One of the best digital cameras around is 1.1! |

| Smilie Bartender ![]() | 3x zoom, no manual white balance, 3.9" minimum focusing distance I would give it a thumbs-down for tank shots. Sorry! http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/p72.html
