| Achilles Tang | Sorry if this is a stupid question...I'm completely redoing my aquascaping right now, and my elegance has a very long skeleton. Its hard to place in the rocks where its stable, and I'd like to trim it down a little to fit it in my aquascaping. I don't know how much of the visible skeleton the coral is still using though. How much of this skeleton can I cut off without hurting the coral? Its sitting in a standard water bottle for scale. ![]() Thanks!

| Fuzzy Sticks ![]() | Re: Elegance skeleton question I could plant that in a reef easily. Build your reef and find a hole. I would not risk cutting it. They are delicate corals and might not respond well to being disturbed.

| Midas Blenny | Re: Elegance skeleton question +1, I've never had one before but have always been told that they are extremely finicky. I personally would not risk it and would find a way to make it fit.

| Fire Coral | Re: Elegance skeleton question Well, that's interesting to know - I've never had an Elegance. I had no idea that LPS would mind skeleton removal. Of course, you wouldn't want to remove that close to the head. Candy Cane, Frogspawn, Hammer, etc. - I've fragged those many times and simply always made sure that I didn't get into any of the fleshy part and it was fine. I'll have to keep this extreme sensitivity in mind if I ever get one of these ![]()
