| Scopas Tang | I learned a very avoidable lesson today... I took my 64oz tropic marin Calcium bottle that was empty, washed it out, took off the sticker and used it to hold my toadstool and cauliflower frags till they attach.. Had them in my refuge/sump under the pc light thinking that it would be enough light for them... Left them for 3-4 days and i just was checking up on them... Half of the toadstool frags are bleached white but still together, and the cauliflower was deteriating.. I took them out and said enough of this and superglued the trunk of the cauliflower frag down and rubber banded it onto a piece of rock so that i could put it back up in the display tank so i got more light and movement. Then the frags i took a glad tuberware container(very small) put rubble rock at the bottom and then put the mostly bleached frags into it and layed it in my display tank hopeing that it will keep them alive.. I didnt mean for this to happen and i feel so friggen stupid to have thought my pc light would have been enough for them. The cauliflower still has color but is torn up, praying for him to come through, and the toadstool pieces are laying on the rocks in a low flow zone but still get hit enough to keep the water moving... How much of a chance you think they have?... Like i said above i learned a hard lesson today that could have been avoided...

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Bleached Toadstool PC lighting in general should be enough for leathers. They are one of the corals I recommend to people with low lighting. I would look somewhere else for the cause but I really don't have any ideas on that one. Maybe not enough flow?

| -CHAUVINIST PIG- | Re: Bleached Toadstool i means its adjusting. that thing is like 99.999% water. ive always fount that softies take longer than stonies to like adjust to a new system. it should (being in a new tank) deflate, slime over and reinflate. keep an eye on it, and dont freak out unless the thing starts to dissolve

| Scopas Tang | Re: Bleached Toadstool K because he has been in my tank since the start 3-4 months. So that shocking water change could be what its adjusting to?
