| Tunicate | Re: has anyone seen these??? Daisy Coral I have had a difficult time finding information about the Knopia octocontacanalis (daisy) Coral. From the little that I have found, they are easy to care for and spread easily. They may be able to survive without any additional food; they apparently can obtain food from byproducts of fish feeding, such as mysis shimp. They should have low to moderate water flow, and never placed into a "dead" flow zone. They may be killed if they are knocked from their rock perch into the tank bottom or into other sharp rocks. I have only had mine for a few days. There was some information that they tend to live only 6 months to a year, but there is some confusion about this coral which some confuse with clove corals and other polyp corals also commonly called "Daisy" Corals. I have also read that Clownfish may adopt a daisy coral if they do not have an anemone, but I haven't seen this behavior myself. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
