I do have two other acan's that I need a ID on.. but they looked kind of bleached.. I just got them 2 day's ago so I'll wait till they color up befor I post and ask for a ID.. thanks ya'll

I think the second one is a ancan enchinata..or maybe the frist one? i think thats how its spelled.?

The first one looks like A. echinata, the second one is none echinata, could be a A. hillae.

the acan hillae didn't look good when I first got it... I believe it was on the verge of death...the skeleton was showing through on a few spots... I have been kinda giving it special attention during feeding by taking it out of the tank putting it in a bowl and covering it with mysis and cyclops... it seems to getting better and color is coming back on both of the acans...

Well done Dominic.

Thank God Arcanthastreas are not so sensitively as for example Fungias they are absolutely in the position to regenerate her cellular tissue. A lot of success furthermore and please bear that in mind, corals need not only mysis or cyclops .... very important for an successful regeneration too are amino acids and vitamins

I plan on adding Zoe and zoecon to that.. but any LFS is 1+hr drive for me and work has been crazy the last week.. I'm hoping by middle of next week I should have both.. thanks hma for your input as some good helpful replies are sometimes hard to come by!! thank you.

your welcome Dominic ..... btw ..There's no rush with the amino acid and vitamins. Nothing should be done in haste when you have to do something in a reef aquarium.
