fragged leather ???

fragged a cream leather finger coral,did it very by the book,anyway the tips turned dark,is this normal? any input would be great,the frag and mother colony both turned black,the tips?

It could just be from being irritated. I had a green leather and anywhere it rubbed up against it slimed up as protection and the slime would turn black.

Make sure they get some flow so the slime can be blown away and keep an eye on them. Hard to say for sure that is all it is.

Sarcophytons are totipotent. Meaning you can cut them every which way but loose and they will grow a new clone. I wouldn't worry, they'll make a come back.

i just fragged mine as well ... it stayed closed for a few days and now today looks good as new. Both the fragged piece and mother colony look great!! Give it a day or two it should be fine. Mine has gone from hell and back. I could kill it trying to!
