a paly/zoa that just finnally decided to open up

ok so when i was at the lfs i'd say weeks ago when i got my xenia my friend saw some wandern' polyps in the sand scooped them up and chucked them in a bag for me...i got a real nice single polyp green paly out of it and then this guy which i just thought was dead because it didnt' decide to open up until today this thing took atleast 2weeks to even start to open...it has yet to fully open still but im just wondern' if this is normal for a paly n why it would be like this i've had it in the same spot almost the whole time i target fed it some cyclopeeze it shut very slowly(about 5 minutes) and opened up very slow(took 2hrs to open back to its origional size) i love it tho cuz it looks real cool just suprised its taken so long to open up

One time I bought live sand online, it was during the winter, and by the time it got to me, it was pretty cold in the bag... when placing it in the tank, I discovered a little piece of rock rubble, with a few polyps on it, but they did NOT look good at all. I placed then in the tank and kept an eye on them. It took 2 months before they opened! I was almost positive they wouldn't make it, but finally, they came out, and have been happy ever since!

I'm not sure exactly what yours is, but they look almost exactly like these did when I first got them, thought they have gained a lot of color then, as you can see in the pic:

Those look like these.... The polyps get about quarter size.. there huge!
