Are those white spots I see on the matting/webbing whatnot? Are you seeing recession? Have you looked into zoanthid disease to rule it out? Might be something on ZoaID.com! :: The definitive repository for named Zoanthids!

Re: Help with zoa, please!

I hate wasting away.
A couple of things you probably already know...you can try placing it elsewhere different lighting and/or flow.
If you have any parameters out of whack, this might be a good time to correct what you can.
If you see any browning (almost like diatoms) we might be talking fungal, you can try dipping the colony in Furan 2 and vitamin C and possibly trimming infected areas away...

Re: Help with zoa, please!

I had the wasting away issue, tried everything, talked to everyone, colony wasted away slowly, like one polyp every couple of days. I'd be interested to see what the experts say

Re: Help with zoa, please!

As Varga already knows...you can try it all and it still might keep heading south.

How long have you had the colony?

Re: Help with zoa, please!

Becky, this is one of the first colonies I had. Have been adding vit C to the tank, they opened a little, were completely closed. Will try the Furan and see what happens. Hope it will not spread to the other zoas!!
