Acan Faceplant

This weekend, I went to my first swap. I picked up, among other things, A nice Pink Acan frag.

When putting it in the tank, I dropped it anf it fell between rocks. I got it out, but it had done a complete faceplant and yacked alot of slime in a very short period.

Now, the hermits seemed to be gathering like vultures around the acan.....any suggestions?

Re: Acan Faceplant

Might try and protect it from the crabs. Set it in a bowl that they can't get inside of. May also need to screen the top to keep fish from nipping while it heals. However, make sure it still gets flow in and around it.

Re: Acan Faceplant

ouch sorry for the loss beelza...i wouldn't worry about your acans tho fishnu they may pout for a while but as long as you clean the debris off of them they'll be fine if they are having a hard time eating just put a cpl drops of garlic in the tank wait about 5 minutes they puff right up and should accept food
