Re: yellow finger dying

Odd question, but are you sure it is a leather? Mine doesn't have any bones of any kind, I have cut many fingers off and grown them as frags and the entire coral is soft tissue.
Unfortunately I am clueless on this one.

Re: yellow finger dying

Could it be sliming? Try blowing off the peeling flesh stuff. Maybe it is an extreme slime. Is there a part that is not affected? Try fragging it so you can at least save a part of the coral.

Re: yellow finger dying

leathers are so odd. I have a smaller finger leather, and it was turning brown as if diatom were growing on it. I relocated it and shook it rather strongly, and all the brown skinned sloughed off. Now, after 2 weeks of nothing his feeders out out and he seems much happier.
