| Elegance coral | Re: Starter Coral Frogpawn would be a good choice, but they do pack a good sting and can reach out pretty far with their sweepers. Maintaing good calcium will become more important, and giving them good flow...

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Starter Coral I love all of the "Euphies" and they were my first coral. Maybe the others already know this but what is your light system on the tank? They are mostly photosynthetic so they need good (not great but good) light. About flow... don't OVER do it.. their flesh is very soft and delicate and it will literally Rip/Tear in high flow areas. If you place it in an area with too much flow it will stay mostly retracted in order to not get torn. I have Euphies in all four of our tanks! LOVE THEM!!

| Torch coral | Re: Starter Coral my first was a hammer and it was pretty easy - my open brain is as low maintenance as they come- Ive actually had a harder time with my zoas than anything else. Rhodactis mushrooms - definitely indestructable

| Has been struck by the ban stick | Re: Starter Coral I started with zoas and mushrooms. I really like both of them. I knew that right away, so thats what I got. I didn't really know ALL the corals available when I first got into this hobby, so I was conservative and only bought what I KNEW I liked. Now I'm after LPS. I LOVE Acans and Blastos. I don't like softies at all. I doubt I'll ever have one in my tank. |
