| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Pagoda Cup Well I was a bad girl yesterday and bought a coral I know very little about. It was just so gorgeous I couldn't resist. They had just gotten their shipment in so it came straight out of one bag and into another. It is a peach color with green polyps. Now of course I have to figure out what tank to put it in an how to care for it. For now it is very high up in the seahorse tank with one of the returns blowing right over it. So far it seems pretty pleased but that could just be relief of being out of a bag. So first of all I would love any info you have about these corals. What I am finding on the net seems to be most anything so I am hoping I can get some real experienced opinions here. Also important is what tank do I keep it in. I have a 125g reef with 3 150w MH and pc actinics. Right now the alk is crazy in the tank but I expect that to be back to normal soon. The biggest problem is my Chevron Tang. He has developed a tase for LPS and wll eat frogspawn, hammers, brains, etc. Unfortunatly he is hubby's favorite so he has to stay. Next I have a 90g soon to be seahorse tank. It will havel low flow and has T5 lighting but only two bulbs since this is supposed to be a seahorse tank. Finally I have a 20g tank with a pair of clowns and an RBTA. It also has T5s but is so shallow that it should get a fair amount of light there. Any help would be appreciated. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece and I want it to really thrive. Pics soon.

| Beautiful Katamari | Re: Pagoda Cup Hi Lynn, I have had a pagoda cup for nearly a year and a half in my 12g nano under 32w pc. It has done well there. I have her placed high in the tank. I keep her positioned in pretty high flow and in such a way that detritus does not collect on her. I think yours would do well in your 20g too. You could try placing him in the 125g and see if you tang takes to him or not. But if you think the Tang for sure would be a problem Id go with the 20. They like flow. Here is my pagoda. ![]()

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: Pagoda Cup Lynn, I've had my pagoda for almost a year now. They aren't very demanding, and are supposedly very forgiving. Ours was under 192w PCs for about 6 months, and grew considerably. We do feed it mysis and daphnia about twice a week along with all our other corals. |
