are zoanthids poisonous to fish?

Can tasting a zoanthid poison a fish? Particularly a tang? I know they are poisonous to humans right?

I had one fish that used to taste every zoa I put in the tank. He'd nip 1 polyp then leave them alone. He never seemed effected by it and is still with me today.

He has outgrown the habit though.

Jose my Bluespot Jawfish ate a zoo polyp one time. But he puked it up like 5 minutes later. Your fish should be ok.

Thanks for the replies, just eliminating possible culprits that might have killed my tang... wishful thinking on my part I guess (that the zoo killed it and not a contagious paraiste/disease).
