ricordia and leather question

Being so new to the hobby, I am always concerned if something bad is happening to my corals or if things I am seeing are normal. I know the more I read, the more I'll understand, but I have some questions about my newly acquired (week ago) ricordia yumas and leather.

First, is what is the white branchy looking thing growing right on the front of my ricordia rock? It has gotten bigger and more "arms" in the past week. Also, I think it could be my flow, but the one ric is curling and folding up. Just curious if you think I should move it or could it be reproducing? (Isn't this how they also reproduce or is it more folding towards the mouth?)

Second, my leather is very flimsy and is connected to a small, fragile rock. I would like to see it "stand" up straighter. Do I have it too close to the Devil's Hand or too close to the Koralia 3? I thought they liked a lot of flow, so I put it near the Koralia. I have noticed some small polyps extending, but only a few times, so I don't think it is happy. Any suggestions?

Re: ricordia and leather question

Yes, it is some sort of branching sponge. I get it growing along the back wall. I don't know what kind but I am sure it is harmless.
The leather you might move a bit further away from the nigh flow and let it open up. It doesn't have to have really strong flow, just enough to keep it clean. It probably won't open in direct, one-way current.
