| Totally stoked dude ![]() | Re: high preassure sodium HPS lights are typically in the 3000k-4500k range, not what you want for reef tanks. Back in the day I used 6500k Iwasaki's on a mercury Vapor ballast, but with all the inexpensive ballasts and bulb combos you can get out there now that are specifically made for the aquarium hobby I would go with one of those combos so you have some future upgradability.
