Re: Please Help with My Project!

I finally came up with a good idea for my frag. Send me your address and I will pick up a thermos this weekend. I am so happy now that I have figured out what to send.
It's different from anything you have so far and will come from my first coral.

Re: Please Help with My Project!

I promised I would tell you all about Gee Whiz Its Me donation to my RS Friend Frag project.

As many of you probably notice GWIM and I have been buddies on RS since we both started. Our tanks are growing together. He has been wanting to send me a frag since I came up with the RS FFP. Well, he got his first zoas and instead of sending me a small frag, he sent me a GIANT mother colony! I couldn't believe it!

It arrived yesterday afternoon with a beautiful card that I put up at my office.

Here it is.....

They really are the best! I also thought one of the benefits of being an adoptive mom to my friends' corals, is that if, god-forbid, their tank ever crashes, I can return part of their original reef to start over.

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Awesome growth Melanie!
I didn't think they could grow that fast.
You must be doing something right.

What is it?

You know.

The thing.

The thing you're doing right.

Come on. Share with the group. lol

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Please Help with My Project!

I didn't think they could grow that fast either! The other frag Dentoid sent is growing fast as well, but it's hard to photograph because it is on the other side of this rock toward the back of the tank.

I have HO T5 lighting. 54 wt X 4. I have one actinic and three daylights. I run them 12 hours a day on a timer. I put that frag (my only SPS) up very close to the top of the tank so it gets full light.

Lynn, I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what you are sending. I'll be sure to post about it!
