| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: Please Help with My Project! They arrived Melanie! I asked the FedEx guy to do a trumpet fanfare, but he flat out refused. lol I will posts pics as soon as I get home. Thank you sooooooo much for the Aqua-Reminder! How did you know I was the absent minded professor! My fish will be so relieved. They were getting tired of holding up signs inside the tank to tell me to do a water change. Signed, One happy reefer ![]()

| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: Please Help with My Project! O.k. here's the update. I'll post another pic when I get home. Hopefully they will have opened up by then. The water was a little cloudy, but it settled right out. I ran home for lunch cause the suspense was killing me. lol A received a lovely note. Nice handwriting. I personally couldn't write my way out of a paperbag. And yes I could have used some copy paper this morning. I also received a great aqua-minder to help me get my act together and remember to clean filters, skimmers and waterchanges. This will be one giant step for my aquariums. And finally a picture of the jet setting zoos from East Coast to West Coast. They were all closed up when I left to go back to work, but a couple glowed really pink even closed up. Can't wait to see what they look like. Thanks again Melanie!

| Golden Moray | Re: Please Help with My Project! I didn't tell you I found those zoas on the roadside? ha ha ha. jk. Since you were my guinea pig for fragging and shipping, I can't wait to see how they turn out. I have mine under T5 at 3 wts. per gallon mid-point in the tank. They may need light acclimation if you have something stronger. Crossing fingers that they love your tank as much as the ones you sent me love mine! |

| Golden Moray | Re: Please Help with My Project! Christopher, your frags are the same size. Those are just macro shots. =O) Plus I tried to hand pick the ones with the prettiest color. I split a big colony into a few little frags. |

| Golden Moray | Re: Please Help with My Project! I have three more RS Friend Frags to tell you about! TriggerJay sent me a frag of his beautiful pink and silver zoas. They are taking a little time to acclimate so I'll post photos when they open fully. Gee Whiz Its Me sent me a HUGE frag (can't even call it a frag...more like a mother colony) of his zoas! They were placed yesterday so I'll post some photos when they open up fully. Many of you have probably seen Kathy with Birds thread offering to give away her trumpet coral. I have always loved the way it glows flourescent green under actinic lights. She kindly offered to send me some of hers. Well, Kathy would not let me pay her anything except shipping. She magnanimously offered her time and packaging for free to me and her other RS friends. When I opened up the the cute little thermos she supplied, I was so pleasantly surprised to see it was packed full of two LARGE pieces of trumpet with many heads. I would have paid a fortune at the LFS for such gorgeous specimens! When I placed them in the tank, the glow could be seen from across the room! I'm having difficulty capturing the true dazzling color with my camera. I will have to play around with the settings until I can get it just right. ![]() ![]() |

| Golden Moray | Re: Please Help with My Project! Lynn, this has been such a fun idea. I look in my tank and see Dentoid and Vdituri and Gee Whiz and TriggerJay. My husband has been having fun hearing my stories of my new frags and he likes to go see where I placed them. Speaking of placing them....something is afoot in my tank. Things keep getting moved all around. My yellow ric is now in the center of my tank, my zoas all jumped off the rock and onto the sand....hmmmm. I think it's two hitchiker urchins that are the culprits. If I ever catch them out and about they are banished to the QT. |
