| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Feeding Ideas? I would be afraid of mysis left in the tube and/or the Fluval to rot. Cat mine usually only open at night. Apparently you can train them fro daytime but mine always opened about an hour after lights out.

My other half call the chop sticks the "hands of god." I have also found that if I give my cleaner shrimp a tiny piece of clam that that will keep him busy for a good half hour.

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Feeding Ideas? Ok I "modified" my bottle with large reliefs at teh base to allow the water to flow out there and incorporated a larger tube on my turkey baster to create a tight fit at the top of the bottle. This was to make SURE the water flowed out the bottom. But I still can NOT get the Mysis to sink. Apparently they are destined to float. I sat there the other night for 45 minutes try to "persuade" them to sink but they stayed at the TOP of the bottle against the tubing until I removed it. Then they simply floated out to the PLEASURE of My greedy cleaner and Nemo! I am sad to say that the majority of this coral is degrading. My wife got it at a GREAT price because the LFS had not be able to sell it and was doubtful it would make it long term but she was deteremined to get one for Me as a surprise. I have tried and tried. Last night I took individual Mysis and literally PLACED them on the open polyps and I think out of 12 only ONE was able to keep it attached. I don't know what else to do. I have seen that Cyclopeeze does stock to them but not to a great degree and I'm not sure if that's enough to sustain them long term. Allen

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Feeding Ideas? Hmm. Mine kind of float around and eventually drift down to the bottom. The one thing I do is rinse them in ro water like I rinse all of my food. I do know that when I was doing it the key was to go very very slow or they froated out the top. Sounds like you have made a nice container so I really don't know what is happening. Try feeding them the cyclopeze. They should like that as well and if it sticks then great.
