Xenia moving? - Page 2

I don't MIND it crawling up the rock but now it's so high up that you have to get down low and look UP to see and even remotely appreciate it's beauty. I think I'll try the "low in sand bed with rock trick to see if that works out better.

Hey Al, after looking at mine yesterday I noticed that it's continuing it's journey upwards to the top of the tank. Very interesting.

Thanks for posting that fragging tip Lorraine, I may have to try that out

Glad I could help out. The color or compactness of the xenia may change when it is moved. With my VHOs, I had one high and one low. They both were healthy but looked different from each other (identical when I bought them). I even put one in my fuge for a while. Anyway, you've got the right idea, experiment to see what you like! Just remember they are invasive, so make sure you have them where they won't bother anything. Mine would have taken over half the tank by now if I didn't do what I am doing with fragging them to smaller rocks on a regular basis. I want them as an accent, not the main attraction.
