| Reef Addict (hopeless) | Ok who "target" feeds their ForgSpawn? How often? With what? Who uses Marine Snow for this? How often? My LFS suggested that I feed using MEI ( Advanced Invertebrate Formula 1) at the rate of 1 drop per gallon every other day. When I visited another LFS yesterday they said that this wasn't sufficient for a FrogSpawn and they sold me "Marine Snow" and suggested I use it at least every other day. So now I am totally confused as to what I "should" be doing. HELP ! ! ! ! Allen ![]()

| Manta Ray | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? I have two frogspawn tht I have had for a while. I have never fed them anything. As long as your lighting is high enough its not absolutely neccesary. Mine have grown alot since Ive got them. Ive also heard alot of people say that frogspawn will not even hold on to many foods offered.

| Manta Ray | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? I was wondering. Do you have many problems with water quality. And what do you do to maintain water quality.

| Manta Ray | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? Allen... I have a couple euphyllia (torch, frogspawn, branching hammer). I do not target feed, but they do eat with the rest of the tank. Hope this helps!

| Reef Addict (hopeless) | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? So far not had any water problems... I test routinely and do 20%+- weekly. Maybe I'm just lucky but thus far it's been easy and a BLAST learning and watching!! We are in the process of trying to decide on a 75g Reef set up...

| Reef Addict (hopeless) | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? Well crapola! that stuff wasn't cheap by any means! Is the original stuff better than Marine Show? saltwaterfarm do you spend all day making your food for your filter feeders? Seems like that would take a LOT of time and efforts!! Allen

| Golden Moray ![]() | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? I have had my frogspawns for over 3 years and only thing i have ever seen them take is cyclops-eeze! They dont eat it very well either, i am convinced that they dont need feeding! I have also used marine snow and would recommend it but would recommend DT's over it! Matt |

| Manta Ray | Re: FrogSpawn.... feeding? Actually Allen... it's all frozen... except the selcon and garlic. I thaw out the cubes add selcon and garlic and feed everything at the same time... fish and corals. It really takes no time at all! There are a few things that get target fed... but not the froggies, etc.

AFA DT's keep in mind that phyto doesn't directly feed most corals, but feeds filter feeders and zooplankton which in turn may be captured and eaten by certain corals.
